intangibleAssetsGoodwill and other Intangible Assets such as brand names and research and development.
investmentsAndOtherAssetsLong-term investments and other items expected to be realised in more than 12 months, such as Deferred Tax and Pension Scheme Assets. This will also include any "floating" asset item disclosed outside of a stated Current Asset total but not part of a stated Fixed Asset Total.

otherCapitalAndReservesThe sum of revenue reserves, capital reserves and all other sundry reserves.
totalEquityOrNetworthThe sum of all capital and reserves, which is otherwise known as Shareholders' Funds or Shareholders' Equity. In some markets this will include items such as Non-Repayable Grants and Voluntary Provisions, which may not be disclosed as part of the reported Equity. Similarly, Minority Interests (non-controlling interests) will be included in the Equity Total in some markets, whilst in others it is treated as a liability. The final analysed Equity value will match the Net Assets of an entity i.e. the Total Assets less Total Liabilities.

EBITDAThe total income of the company, generated by its operations, after paying all the interests and expenditure incurred in owning or renting an asset or property but before paying taxes and deducting the depreciation and amortization of the company's assets.
currentRatioA measure that indicates the ability of the company to pay short term and long term obligations.
quickRatioA measure of the company's ability to use its near cash or quick assets to extinguish or retire its current liabilities immediately.
totalDebtSum of Short Term Debt and Long Term Debt.
netDebtTotal Debt less Cash & Liquid Assets.
returnOnAssetsProfit before Tax divided by Total Assets, expressed as a %. This measures the percentage of Pre-Tax profit per unit of assets held, and can be seen as an indicator of success in maximising profits from available resources.
cashConversionCycle(Stocks plus Accounts Receivable minus Accounts Payable ) divided by Net Sales, expressed in days. This measures the efficiency at which a company converts its Inventory into Sales and then Cash, net of the impact of paying suppliers i.e. an overall success measurement for working capital management.
solvencyRatioTotal Equity divided by Total Assets, expressed as a %. This measures the proportion of the total Asset base financed by internal Equity investment, and can be seen as an indicator of the long term solvency of the company.
totalLiabilitiesToTotalEquityTotal Liabilities divided by Total Equity, expressed as a %. This measures the relationship between all external creditors and liabilities of the company and the internal Equity investment, and can be seen as an indicator of the long term solvency of the company.

Company Operating Status

The list of available operating status of a company with its descriptions.

Operating Status Field Description
Out of businessOut of Business. Indicates that the business subject has ceased trading permanently and can never resume activities. The circumstances of ceasing to trade cannot be established as being either "favourable" or "unfavourable".
Ceased tradingCeased Trading. Indicates that the business subject has ceased trading may it is still theoretically and legally possible for activities to recommence at some point in the future. This status would be used for a subject in the midst of liquidation of bankruptcy proceedings until those proceedings are complete and the subject can be considered "Out of Business."
Assumed Out of Business - Unable to Confirm Active OperationsIndicates that active operations can not be confirmed and as such is indicated as out of business.
ActiveActive. Indicates that the business subject is actively trading.
DormantDormant. Indicates that the business subject is not actively trading. Normally used for a business subject which has never commenced trading activities.
Out of business - UnfavourableOut of Business Unfavourable. Indicates that the business subject has ceased trading permanently and can never resume activities. The circumstances of ceasing to trade were enforced or in some other manner "unfavourable" meaning that they may be viewed in a negative light. For example the creditors may have forced the subject into liquidation.
Out of business - FavourableOut of Business Favourable. Indicates that the business subject has ceased trading permanently and can never resume activities. The circumstances of ceasing to trade were voluntary and in some other manner "favourable" meaning that they should not be viewed in a negative light.
Active with an Insolvency EventRefers to the inability of a company to pay its debts, particularly short term debts. Frequently there will be a legal event in process that may eventually result in the company going Out Of Business (OOB), or the company may, through the appontment of an Administrator or Insolvency Practitioner, ultimately resolve its cash flow problems and resume trading.
Pre-dissolution"A status assigned to a company when the National or Regional Registry Office (e.g. in UK, 'Companies House') considers that the Company may not be carrying on business nor in operation. This may be precipitated by the lack of documents received from the Company (e.g. Annual Accounts), mail sent to the Company's registered office is returned undelivered, or the Company has no directors. A notice will be placed in an official journal of record (e.g. in UK, the 'Gazette') and hence the company's public record. If the registrar sees no reason to do otherwise, he will strike off the company after a period of time (in the UK, not less than 3 months) following the date of the pre-dissolution notice. The company will then be dissolved (or reinstated) upon publication of a further public notice. The status of pre-dissolution corresponds to high failure risk."

Unable to Confirm Active Operations at this Location A code value indicating that the business shows limited to no business activity at this location and active operations cannot be confirmed.
Shelf CorporationShelf corporation, shelf company, or aged corporation, is a company or corporation that has had no activity. It was created and left with no activity - metaphorically put on the "shelf" to "age." The company can then be sold to a person or group of persons who wish to start a company without going through all the procedures of creating a new one.
